Our Church

Our worship is neither highly ceremonial nor very informal; we take something of a ‘middle of the road’ position.

In pre-Covid times, the main service at 10 a.m. on Sunday was a ‘Communion’ service, which includes the taking of bread and wine to commemorate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.  In all our worship we draw near to God in prayer, and most services also included a short sermon.

Music and singing play a very special part in most of our services in pre-Covid times, especially at the 10.00 a.m. Communion service, and at the Evensong service at 6.00 p.m. (or 3.30 p.m. in winter).  The standard of music is very high. There is a very strong choir, consisting mainly of young adults, and a team of good organists.

We certainly do not judge visitors or members, or those who come to the church seeking baptism or marriage.
