The recorder club of St. Luke's Church, Chelsea, London will be coming to Oxford especially to entertain us with a short programme of recorder music from the Renaissance to the present day.  The five piece consort will be performing: 
  • Schutz - Fantasia a 5
  • Taverner - In Nomine from 'Benedictus', Gloria tibi Trinitas
  • Tye - In Nomine
  • Jeremy Summerly - GT2 (composed specifically for this concert)
  • Dowland - The Earle of Essex Galiard
  • and a selection of Anthony Holborne pavans, galliards and almaines. 
The concert starts at 8pm and lasts for about an hour. Refreshments will be served afterwards giving the audience a chance to meet the performers and discuss their music.
Admission is free, there will be a retiring collection to assist with costs.
